I had the wonderful opportunity to be part of a group project at ModTheSims2 called The Dark Project. This project is all about the dark ages, paupers wearing rags, gypsies and bandits, alchemists and wizards, large imposing castles and tiny peasant hovels. Our group called The Guild Masters have been working on this for months. It is an enormous project with a huge amount of new files to help you create an authentic atmosphere in your game. My contributions the project are labeled 'Enblith' in the screen shots. Now you know why I haven't updated here very much lately ;) Enjoy the project and expect the find more clothes here in the future made with the new meshes from that project.

It came to my attention today that the file for green Armor on medieval clothing page 3 has become corrupted so it will not extract. I have now fixed it so please redownload it if you couldn't get it to work.

I want to point out for people looking for more medieval outerwear that All About Style and the-simmer.com has the only other medieval outerwear that I know of right now.

I have a small update today with a new desktop wallpaper for your computer. I also tweaked the Extras page so the page will load faster for thoes with a slower internet connection.

It's time for some new downloads! This time it is the men that get some medieval outerwear. 3 for adult males and 3 for child males which you can find on page 9 of the medieval clothing section. I have also added a new poll for you to vote in! I think I will have a new poll every month from now on. You can see the results for the old polls in the Polls Archive section. This months poll is asking what type of download you would like to see more of on Fanciful Sims.

Seasons is here! I got the new expansion pack last wednesday so this weekend I made some medieval outerwear to keep our medieval sims from freezing! I have 6 new downloads, 3 adult female and 3 teen female outerwear. I also fixed the poll which I recently notced wasn't working, I will be adding a new poll topic soon.

4 new downloads today!! There are 4 new hairstyles for you to choose from in the Genetics section! Two are fancy ribbon wrapped hair for your upper class sims and two are medieval 
coifs for your lower class sims.

I have redesigned the front page today. It still looks very similar because most of the changes are behind the scenes. Most noticably I have switched the News section from a text box to iFrames so now I can post images and links here! I also added a new link on the links page.

New clothing update today! I know its been a while but I have made a new set of peasant clothes for your male sims ages toddler through elder which you can find in the medieval clothing section. I spent a lot of time on the details of this set to make it look very dirty and worn so I hope you enjoy them!

Happy New Years Eve everybody! This is my last update for 2006! I finaly got my Adobe Web Package in the mail which has Adobe Creative Suite and Studio 8!! Now I have lots of great softwear to make Fanciful Sims even more fantastic. Be prepared for great changes to come!

Yeah! Fanciful Sims is Back! I have a small update for you right now, a desktop wallpaper I made a while ago but forgot to add to this site. You can find it on the 'extras' page. I also have a larger update coming with some new clothing. I have already made the clothing, I just need to prepare it for distribution on the web. So keep an eye on Fanciful Sims!

Thanks to the interview on the official site this site has had a lot of great exposure to new people. But despite upgrading my hosting package a few months ago, FancifulMind.com is about to run out of bandwidth for the month. Unless someone donates $15, sometime in the next few days Fanciful Sims will become unavailable until November 1st. I'm really sorry for any inconvenience. I should have some new downloads available the first week of November!

Happy Friday the 13th! Big update today! I have uploaded the new dresses I mentioned, all 6 can be found on the medieval clothing page. I also added 3 new eyes and a new hair that matches the new dresses. Both can be found in the genetics section. I'm finally getting comfortable being back in school so I hope to have some more updates soon!

In other news, I made some new medieval dresses a few days ago. Right now they are available on my sim page, but will be on here very soon!

I just wanted to let you all know that I haven't forgotten about Fanciful Sims. I have just been crazy busy since I started at a new university in August after taking a year off to work. Going to school and working is quite different so it's taking me a bit longer to get used to having tons of homework than it has in past years. Anyway, I will still be updating this site and adding new content once I get a hold of my busy schedule. Also, I really appreciate all the great comments you have been leaving in my guestbook!

Huzzah! Today is the one year anniversary of the start of The Royal Kingdom Challenge! In celebration I have updated the rules for the challenge to include Open For Business which offers a lot for the challenge. I have also started a blog for my stories about my kingdom that I have been playing for the challenge. I still have some new historical outfits for your Sims planned, but I got The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion for my birthday and it is rather distracting ;) Also check out a new site,Bipsouille's Sims 2, added to the Links page. It's a site that specializes in Victorian and Harry Potter content.

Sorry about the downtime this week. It got to the end of the month and this site ran out of bandwidth. My host also moved to a new server which would have caused a bit of downtime too. Anyway, the only update I have today is a new desktop picture for your computer on the 'Extras' page, but I have an update planned for June 7th which is the one year anniversary of the Royal Kingdom Challenge!

The One Year anniversary of the start of The Royal Kingdom Challenge is coming up soon so you can expect a large update with many new historical outfits in June.

Sorry about the downtime the past few days. My monthly bandwidth allowance ran out which was quite large to start with. The good news is that this site has become more popular. The 'bad' news is I had to upgrade my hosting to make room for all the new visitors. This site is still going to stay free but being the poor collage student that I am, I may be adding some adds or something to help pay the cost of keeping this site totally free. If you have any ideas that may help please let me know!

I have 6 new downloads available for you today. In the medieval clothing section on page 3 you will find dresses for a child and toddler. In the modern clothing on page 2 you will find a new mesh by me, 3 peasant style tops, and a sim version of Sara's top from the movie The Labyrinth using the new mesh. There are some new downloads available today! You can find a Green Brocade Medieval Gown on page 2 of the medieval section, also on that page I fixed the Medieval Minstrel so you can now download that outfit and get the link to the mesh. I have made a new gown using my new overskirt mesh. You can find it on the renaissance clothing page. You can see a preview of it to the right. I have also made two more new meshes, but they are not quite ready. They should be up during the next few days.

There is a new dress available in the Renaissance Clothing section. It uses my very first original mesh. I spent last weekend learning how to make my own meshes. This is just the beginning of many more to come. I have already made another new mesh but it's not ready yet but it will be coming soon! I also added a new link for Sims Beauty. She is in the process of uploading her files, but check out the Fantasy Hair section. She had some really unusual Fantasy Horns.
